Mart Meijnen plays an important role at R&R as a consultant. He serves as a project manager for several major clients, has a thorough understanding of the workforce management software and processes from start to finish, and acts as a key link between the organization, technology, and the client. In an interview, Mart discusses his role and the steps he has taken within the organization.
Mart started at R&R as an intern and has shown strong and rapid growth. While studying business administration, he worked as a team leader at a supermarket, and in that role he had already gained some knowledge and experience with R&R and the processes in and around the store. After a successful internship and upon completing his studies, Mart was offered a position as Customer Success Manager at R&R.
In this role, he worked on the first implementation for a new client. Despite a few setbacks, it was a very educational project. After that, Mart became heavily involved with R&R’s major clients. His strong customer focus and background in retail were a great help to me.
As the projects Mart was involved in or responsible for grew larger and larger, his influence within the organization increased rapidly. I earned a lot of credit because we got things done quickly. When you keep your promises, it builds a lot of trust.
Thanks to this rapid growth, his in-depth knowledge, and his strong performance, Mart was able to advance quickly and make the transition to a consultant.
At R&R, there's a culture of learning. It's okay to make mistakes, as long as you learn from them. That suits me very well.
When we ask Mart about the future of R&R, he mentions a number of things. As an organization, we need to become even more professional. This also applies to the personal development of our employees. In addition, communication is an important area we need to focus on. Mart also wants to help improve project management overall.
R&R has made significant strides as an organization in several areas, but there is always room for further improvement. We must always maintain a critical eye toward our processes and systems. That's what I'm here for.
