Every month, we publish an update on interesting developments and improvements in our WFM system , R&R. This issue covers, among other things, availability management, paid time off calculations, user viewing and management, the list of time off requests, a preview of the upcoming new navigation, as well as bug fixes and quality improvements.
We haven't been sitting idle this past month—we've made several bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. These changes are all designed to make your daily experience with R&R even smoother. Among other things, we've made the following changes:
From now on, it is possible to calculate the advance payment for hours worked on a holiday based on the number of hours worked divided by 12 weeks. Previously, the only option was to divide the number of hours worked by the number of weeks actually worked. This is therefore the default setting.

As previously reported in the March newsletter, the availability overview and management features will be released in April. For the sake of completeness, here is the full announcement again.
When we transitioned to our new R&R user interface, we did not immediately integrate the feature for managing availability. Now that we’ve made the necessary improvements to user-friendliness, we’re confident that our new availability screen will better support your organization than ever before. The new screen gives you an at-a-glance overview of your employees’ availability and allows you to adjust it as needed. Of course, it’s fully integrated with the features of the R&R Job App, so that employees’ entries are processed within the same overview. This ensures you always have an up-to-date overview of the availability of your entire workforce.
Below is a preview of this new availability interface. This feature is scheduled to be introduced in April.
In the payroll module, an employee's attendance pattern can be adjusted manually. Previously, this adjustment was always made automatically, and from now on, the administrator responsible for payroll must monitor the attendance rate each week.
We will change this, and soon the attendance pattern will apply only to the week in which it is changed. This change is expected to take effect in early April.
The new login screen was recently launched, marking an important first step toward what we are currently working on: displaying and managing users. We expect the first concrete step—an overview of the users who have access to the selected store—to be available shortly. This will give you a direct view of which users have access to your store's data.
In the near future, we plan to add the ability to invite a new user to R&R, thereby granting them access to the selected store. This will soon allow our customers to manage users on their own.
Last year, R&R switched to a visual interface for displaying and managing vacation requests. To better support you in requesting vacation, we will soon be adding a list view. This will allow you to see both the staffing levels for a specific time period and the vacation requests that need to be processed (or have recently been processed) at a glance.
We are working hard to deliver this supplement before summer break.
The navigation bar in R&R is being moved. Moving the navigation to the edge of the screen makes it easier to navigate quickly through R&R and clarifies the application's structure. It also creates more space for what matters most: R&R's functionality. More data fits on a single screen—for example, more employees on the duty roster.
This change is expected in the second half of this year. Below is a preview of the new navigation. Please note that the icons are not yet included in these previews.
