Twice a month, we publish an update on interesting developments and improvements to our WFM system, R&R. In this issue, we’ll cover, among other things, the shop features in R&R Insights, how to download views from R&R Insights as Excel spreadsheets, an update on the redesigned navigation, file format restrictions for FTP services, as well as bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
Since the introduction of filters in R&R Insights, you’ve been able to filter by store attributes (or other types of organizations or locations, such as distribution centers). This week, we’re taking it a step further: We’re displaying these attributes in your data! From now on, you can select these attributes in the column selector and view them in the table, allowing you to sort by them as well. Since the attributes are currently all displayed as text, a line chart wouldn’t be very informative. That’s why we’ve added a bar chart to these new columns to show the distribution of values across stores.

The most requested feature of R&R Insights goes live on Thursday: the ability to download the view in R&R Insights as an Excel spreadsheet.
Click the Excel icon (see screenshot below) to download the current view as an Excel spreadsheet. Using the flexible column selection and filters, you can customize the file to suit your needs.
When downloading, you can specify whether you want to fill out the form for printing or reporting purposes, or whether you want to further automate it. This way, you'll always get the form that best suits your needs.
Some time ago, we informed you about the updated navigation within R&R. Development is currently in full swing. We expect this update to be available in the fourth quarter. Below is the text of the initial announcement:
The navigation bar in R&R is being moved. Moving the navigation to the edge of the screen makes it easier to navigate quickly through R&R and makes the application’s structure clearer. It also frees up more space for what matters most: R&R’s functionality. More data fits on a single screen, allowing you to view more employees on the duty roster and see more information.
The following screenshots will give you a good idea of what the new navigation will look like:
Starting September 1, 2022, we will lower the maximum file size limit for users of our FTP services—such as those used to link POS or HRM data—to 10 MB. We are doing this to limit potential misuse of the system in the event of a password leak.
At the moment, we don't see any files larger than 10 MB. Do you think your link requires a larger file size? Please contact customer service to increase the limit for your account.
Over the past few weeks, our teams have been busy fixing bugs and making (minor) quality-of-life improvements. These changes are all aimed at making your daily interaction with R&R even smoother. Among other things, we’ve made the following changes:
Make measurably better decisions based on insights from your own data. R&R Insights provides strategic, data-driven insights into your workforce management and business performance. Insights and data visualizations show you how your organization is performing and where there is room for improvement. For example, you can compare the performance of departments and stores and make measurably better decisions based on your own data. R&R Insights is fully integrated into the familiar R&R environment.
Because we are convinced that the data-driven insights from R&R Insights offer significant value to your business, we would like to introduce you—as a valued customer—to the many possibilities of R&R Insights in an accessible way:
Later this year, we will launch a new, complementary module for R&R Insights: “in depth.” With this module, you can “zoom in” at the department level and compare insights across different departments, in addition to the Insights features mentioned earlier.
