This issue covers “new budgets based on the forecast,” new data in R&R Insights, a “Did You Know?” section, the upcoming launch of the new job app, as well as bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
We already discussed this in the latest product update(click here for more information), but in this newsletter we’d like to highlight how budgets can be changed and when changes fail. Basically, it’s very easy to understand: Budgets can be changed based on forecasts that have already been set for the future.
If you want to change the budgets for the current week, that’s no problem, of course. However, budgets can only be changed for the current day and for days in the future. The schedules are based on the budget, and for days in the past, the schedule is based on the budget at that time. Changing a budget for a past date therefore offers no additional benefit and is therefore not possible.
As soon as a budget is changed during the week, this is reflected in the work schedule, and a more appropriate work schedule can be created based on the new budgets. Both the original and the new budgets are displayed in the work schedule, making it easy to see the difference.
Last month, we added a lot of new data to R&R Insights. For example, the forecast section has been expanded to include columns for minimum occupancy, operating hours, and opening hours. These columns will be displayed starting in Week 31 (July 31). This data will only be visible in Insights after the forecast has been set. Therefore, if a future forecast is finalized before it is published, the data for that week will not be available in Insights.
In preparation for the upcoming budget adjustment feature, we've also added some new selection options for the current budget. This can now be selected for the Revenue, Hours, Payroll, Payroll Percentage, Productivity, and Average Cost Per Hour columns. All of these columns display data starting in Week 29 (July 17), though this only applies to forecasts created on or after Week 29 or whose budgets have been adjusted.
For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that the minimum allocation was also made available in advance for the current fiscal year, so this combination is new in two respects.
Sometimes an employee calls in sick even though the schedule has already been set. This is, in fact, a daily reality. The moment the employee calls in sick, their shift ends.

But did you know that these shifts don’t disappear? They can still be found in the schedule and on the offer screen under the “Expired Shifts” tab. These shifts can easily be offered through this screen, and employees are notified via the job app that there’s a new shift they can sign up for!

It's been making the rounds, but it's almost here: the completely revamped R&R Job App will be launched soon! You'll receive a separate newsletter with all the details shortly.
Over the past few weeks, our teams have once again been busy fixing bugs and making (minor) quality-of-life improvements. These changes are all aimed at making your daily interactions with R&R even smoother. Recently, we’ve been focusing on security and performance. As a result, nothing has changed visually, but we’re ensuring that R&R remains fast and secure.
