R&R Product Update, May 16, 2023

Among other things, this issue covers vacation balances in the work schedule, the display of hours worked in the work schedule, unsubscribing from task assignment, user management, preparations for the new job app, as well as bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

Vacation Balances in the Work Schedule

To provide a better overview of the work schedule, all types of leave for which an employee has a balance are now available in the selection column of the work schedule. This eliminates the need for the generic “TvT – Time for Time” column. The “Total Leave” column remains available. This is a valuable addition, especially for Belgian and German customers.

Displaying the hours worked in the schedule

From now on, it is possible to display specific counters in the work schedule based on hours worked. These can be used, for example, to monitor the Dutch WAB limits for employees who must remain within their applicable maximum number of hours.
The counters display the hours from previously created schedules and payouts in combination with the hours for the current schedule week. To keep the schedule clear and organized, the counters can be shown or hidden using the dropdown menu, as shown in the following figure.

Withdrawal from the implementation phase

Sometimes employees forget to sign out. Unfortunately, this can't always be prevented, but how do you handle it when it interferes with your processes?

Starting early next week (Calendar Week 21), it will no longer be possible to approve an employee’s time entry if they are still clocked in. If you wish to approve a time entry for a previous day, you can assign an end time to the employee on-site. The employee will then be “clocked out” at the specified time, after which the approval process can continue.

This feature works regardless of the time signature used, in order to make the implementation process as easy as possible.

User Management

If you are not using single sign-on but have registered users in R&R, you can now manage users directly in R&R. While adding users has been possible for some time, editing and deleting users is now fully supported.

You don't yet have the option to manage your access to R&R yourself, but do you think you should? If so, please contact our After-Sales Department.

Preparations for the new job app

Development of the new job app is in full swing. Last month, a new version of the job app was released, though nothing changed for users. Of course, that doesn’t mean nothing has changed. To ensure the new job app works well for all users soon, the first technical changes were implemented with the latest update.

To give you an idea of the progress we've made on the new job app: development of the first screens is going well! Take a look below.
