We regularly publish updates on interesting developments and improvements to our WFM system, R&R. This time, we’re providing an overview of the year 2022.
It’s a cliché, but 2022 has once again flown by. We can look back on a great year with many new developments and significant improvements to R&R. That’s why we’d like to look back on some important milestones in the development of R&R.

A little over a year ago, we launched R&R Insights: It consolidates all the relevant data within R&R and provides you with data-driven insights into all key (management) information in an accessible and user-friendly format. And it all happened so quickly! Within a year, we were able to develop a fully integrated module with many great features. But of course, we’re far from finished, and we have big ambitions for R&R Insights. Here’s an overview of some of the features developed in R&R Insights:

In 2022, we completely redesigned and improved R&R's login screen and login process. This not only significantly improved the user experience but also laid the groundwork for additional security measures to ensure that you can always log in securely. Consider, for example, multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Rapid technological advancements are leading to varying preferences and needs regarding staff deployment. Think of self-scanning and online orders. To better align planning budgets with these needs, we have introduced “checkout streams.” By providing checkout data via different checkout streams, it is possible to distinguish between the various checkout points in a store and determine the appropriate budget for each.
To support checkout processes, we have created a new point-of-sale link (POS3) that enables the transmission of checkout data for each checkout transaction.
In November, we introduced the redesigned navigation within R&R. The navigation bar was moved from the top to the left side of the screen. This makes it more user-friendly and provides a larger display area for the grid, implementation, and payout.

The new leave overview allows users to review leave requests in a single view. The new leave overview is displayed immediately when you open the absence overview. The complete overview, including sick leave and other absences, can be found on the second tab.

If you do not use an automatic HR integration, it is helpful to be able to import an HR file. That is why we have developed a generic HR import feature. This allows an HR file to be imported into R&R, eliminating the need to enter employee data manually. Data that is not included in the file but is required by R&R can be added manually.
This year, we introduced a new feature: availability overview and management. This gives you an overview of your employees' availability at the store and department levels. We will continue to expand this feature next year.
This year, we have made several improvements and adjustments regarding compliance with the collective bargaining agreement and applicable laws and regulations:
From now on, it is possible to limit the balance to a specific number of hours from time to time due to overtime and/or bonuses. If this limit is exceeded, the TvT hours will then be automatically paid out. For example: We set a limit of 10 hours. The employee can then have a maximum balance of 10 hours. Every minute beyond that 10th hour will then be automatically paid out. Would you like to take advantage of this feature? If so, please contact customer service at support@rr-wfm.com.
This year, we introduced R&R training sessions. It is crucial that your employees use the systems correctly. When new systems are introduced, training is often provided at the outset. However, knowledge is often lost due to new hires and employee turnover. That is why we offer these additional R&R training sessions at competitive prices. With our easily accessible and practical training sessions, your employees will always be up to date and able to make the most of their free time.

In addition to the points mentioned above, we’ve, of course, been working on both minor and major improvements to our software throughout the year and have fixed many bugs and issues. We can’t list everything here, of course, but if you’re interested in these changes, you can read about them in our product update archive.
Of course, we don't just want to look back—we also want to take a look at the developments and expectations for 2023. We look forward to breaking new ground again this year!
